I. Children’s Christmas Charities – a year around service we have offered for 40 years. Food, clothing, furniture, toys, utilities or whatever the need is given at Christmas each year; fifteen to twenty-two families are aided by CCC each year. Operating solely on donations, we endeavor to fill every wish list. We sponsor families through Head Start, the battered women’s shelter, and just by word of mouth, trying to leave no one out.
II. Animal Lighthouse – finding homes for unwanted animals, the majority of which are fostered out. Rev. Carole Fossen, director, raises funds to enable pet owners who cannot afford it, to have their pets spayed or neutered. She teaches responsible pet ownership and helps furnish food and vet services to those on limited income. In the 6 years this service has been offered, over 8500 animals have been cared for. Animal Lighthouse is run solely by donations specifically designated for that purpose
